Sexual Health

The NHS provides lots of useful information about sexual health, whether you have pregnancy worries or just want to find out more about different types on contraception. Check out www.letstalkaboutit.nhs.uk for more information. You can also order free STI testing kits online, including Chlamydia testing kits. The University runs a pop-up sexual health clinic once a month, run by an NHS Sexual Health Practitioner. They offer condoms, pregnancy testing, basic STI tests, advice and information. For times, dates, and appointments, please click here, or look for the posters around campus. Our nearest Sexual Health Clinic is in Eastleigh Unit 6 (under Nando’s) in the Swan Centre. They are open 09:00-17:00 (Thursdays 09:00-15:30). Book an appointment by calling 0300 300 216. You can find more information on www.letstalkaboutit.nhs.uk.

Using a condom when you have sex is the best way to avoid catching an STI, free condoms are available from the Student Union Advice Centre (different sizes available on request). We also offer free pregnancy tests in our Freebie Bin with information on what to do if the result is or isn’t as you expected/wanted. Come and talk to us anytime if you have worries about pregnancy, or sexual health. During any sexual activity you must ensure that the other person participating has the ability and freedom to consent. You can report harassment, bullying or violence to the University through the Report + Support platform. Check out our Consent page for more information.
