Here at Winchester Student Union, we understand the stress of the current cost of living crisis. We’ve put together fortnightly spotlights with tips and tricks to help save your pennies.
This spotlight is dedicated to the best free things to do while at Winchester. As Spring begins to creep through, why not take some time in the outdoors and have a screen break to make sure you’re looking after your wellbeing.
If you’re still new to Winchester, or haven’t had the chance to explore, you might want to take a look at the Best free things to do in Winchester. If you’re not so new to Winchester, how many of these have you ticked off?
If you’ve seen all Winchester has to offer, why not look further afield to Southampton, or even Portsmouth (40 minute drive) or Bournemouth (30 minute drive) if you’re feeling adventurous. If you’re not originally from Hampshire, take advantage of being somewhere new for little to no cost.
Here at your SU, we also offer free movie nights on Thursdays. Why not bring some snacks and come have a watch with your friends? You can find out which movie we’re showing by checking the events tab of our website. Here you can also keep an eye out for other fun events we run like the Wellbeing Café which runs every Wednesday afternoon (in term time).
Did you know the libraries don’t just have academic books? Why not take a look for some cooking, meditation or hobby books to try out.
