It’s Accessibility To Me Week (ATMW), a week dedicated to opening up about the world of accessibility and inclusion from an individual perspective and taking action to create inclusive digital spaces.
Here at Winchester Student Union we want to make our provisions/communications as accessible and inclusive as possible. One of the ways we do this is using the accessibility software Recite Me (https://reciteme.com/product/accessibility-plugin/). Recite Me assistive technology provides accessibility and language support tools, including text-to-speech functionality, reading aids, customisable text/background colour and lighting options, and a translation tool with over 100 languages.
To access this on our website, simply click the ‘Accessibility Tools’ button on the top right corner of our website, which will activate our accessibility toolbar with a range of ways to make navigating our website easier.
Recite Me is a crucial tool to have on our website so our students can have an inclusive experience online. This software allows you to customise our website to make it work for you so you can learn/engage with all things Winchester Student Union.
Any questions or if you want to speak more about Recite Me - please do contact Charlotte Baker (President of Winchester Student Union) - SU_Pres@winchester.ac.uk
