Official Freshers Wristbands
We are thrilled to announce our Winchester Student Union Freshers Wristbands are returning for the biggest Freshers we have hosted to date.
Your Freshers Wristband entitles you to the following events here at the Student Union:
- ROAR (Sunday 12th September)
- Silent Disco (Monday 13th September)
- Freshtival (Tuesday 14th September)
- Outdoor Movies Day (Thursday 16th September)
- Desert Island Disco (Friday 17th September
But it is not just events…..

- £1 off Costa Coffee from our Terrace Bar between the hours of 9am – 3pm during Freshers Week (Monday 13th – Friday 17th September)
- 10% off all grocery and frozen food lines from our West Downs Shop during Freshers Week
- Free University of Winchester T-shirt with every purchase from the Student Union Shop (King Alfred Centre) until the end of September. (whilst stocks last).
- Free ‘house cocktail/mocktail’ with your first order during the Freshers Cocktail Night in the Terrace Bar on Thursday 16th September.

Freshers Wristbands go on sale at 12pm on Tuesday 10th August and will be priced at £40 (plus booking fee). Freshers Wristbands are only available whilst stocks last so secure yours today!

The official Freshers Wristband is for University of Winchester first or second year students over the age of 18 only (unless we have received confirmation of students under the age of 18 from the University).
In order to gain entry to events, your wristband must be accompanied by one of the following forms of 18+ age verification ID: passport, driving licence or PASS accredited card (see www.pass-scheme.org.uk for details) and proof of student status at the University of Winchester. Failure to present one of these forms of ID at the venue will result in you not being able to attend the event.
ID will also be required to collect your Freshers Wristband. Upon collection a member of the Student Union Staff will fasten your wristband, these can then not be removed, unless you cut them. This is to ensure you do not lose your wristband. Should you lose your wristband, a replacement will not be provided, nor will you be refunded.
Entry to events is valid until 9pm. After 9pm entry will only be allowed if space permits. however, we recommend arriving as early as possible not to miss out on all the entertainment. Rights of admission are reserved. 10pm on Friday 17th September
Official Freshers Wristbands are only available whilst shocks last.
Freshers’ entertainment programme details are correct at the time of publication but may be subject to change.
No refunds are available and wristbands may not be transferred between students.
By purchasing this wristband you are confirming that you will be a University of Winchester student during the academic year 2021/2022. You will be asked for proof of your student status at the point of collection. No refunds will be given to purchasers who are ineligible to attend Freshers events.
