Our Freebie Bin is located outside the Student Union Offices on level 3 of the King Alfred Centre (near the Food Hall) during office hours. If something is missing, or you have any questions, please ask our Student Union Advisor, who can normally be found in the Advice Centre.

 

The Freebie Bin offers a range of products to students which are completely free! The main purpose of the Freebie Bin is to offer free period products to students who need it. We offer both single use products, such as pads and tampons, and sustainable reusable products, like reusable pads and period cups. We offer different sizes of each product, so if the one you need isn’t there, please feel free to ask.

 

Additionally in the Freebie Bin, you can find condoms and lube, pregnancy tests, and personal safety equipment.

 

We have different sized condoms, Trim, Regular, and King Size. Trim and King Size are not normally stocked within the Freebie Bin however, they are kept within the Advice Centre. If you need these sizes, please ask the Student Union Advisor, or another member of Student Union Staff. You can find Regular within the Freebie Bin on a daily basis. Occasionally, we are able to offer latex free condoms. Please ask our Advisor about our stock if you require something. 

 

We offer free pregnancy tests to students who need them. We ask that every student who takes a pregnancy test from the Freebie Bin, reads the Pregnancy Test Information prior to taking the test as we want to ensure students are aware of the support available to them. Pregnancy tests are stocked in the Freebie Bin on a daily basis, however if there aren’t any, please feel free to ask the Student Union Advisor or another Student Union Staff member for one.
