Cleaning your very own space can be a daunting task – especially with lots of products available. Below you can find a list of cleaning essentials and their uses. 

Anti-streak shower cleaner - Great for keeping your shower screen clear. 

Antivirus spray - Use these on countertops to kill bacteria, 

Antivirus wipes - Water and cloths won't have the same effect, to keep a supply of these to keep surfaces sanitised. 

Bin bags - These are provided in halls, but if you have your own bin in your room, or are living off-campus - these are a must. Make sure you get the correct size for your bin. 

Bleach -  Great for disinfecting surfaces and toilets - use carefully however. 

Disinfectant wipes - Wiping down shared surfaces is always a good idea, especially if you are in student accomodation with lots of shared spaces.

Hand wash - Regular bath soap may not be as effective - so keep some around! 

Kitchen roll - Great for everyday spills and clean up. 

Laundry capsules - Easy to forget - but a necessity for cleaning clothes. 

Microfibre cloths - These are extremely effective at picking up dust and creating better air quality in your room. 

Mop & Bucket - If not provided in your accommodation 

Mould cleaner - Probably a staple for students who rent their accomodation off-campus. 

Multi surface cleaner - For keeping your surfaces clean. These kill germs and bacteria. 

Rubber gloves - For protecting your hand when washing up or using harsher chemicals. 

Sponges - Essential for washing up, and can be bought in bulk. 

Tea towels - Great for drying cutlery and plates. 

Washing up liquid - A must-have. Buy as an individual or coordinate with housemates.
