The Winchester Video Gaming Society is all about gaming and sharing experiences with fellow gamers. The Society is all about having a good time and making new friends through the shared hobby of video games. Our members play many different sorts of games on many different platforms so there will always be someone who enjoys the same things as you do.
Our members only in person Society sessions are usually held every week in SAB203 Thursdays from 6:30-9:30pm We are awaiting confirmation as to weather this will be the same this year 24/25. We have several consoles (namely a PS2, PS3, Wii, and Xbox 360) at these sessions with people usually playing something splitscreen but also encourage others to bring their own device to play games on too. We also usually have something multiplayer on the projector to try and get as many people involved as possible. Alot of the time this is Mario Kart, Smash, Jackbox and other games that can be played with alot of people.
We hold semi regular tournaments in these sessions such as Smash and Mario Kart and sometimes have challenges that run throughout the semester/year. Generally, these sessions are focused on multiplayer games but we welcome those who want to chat while playing single-player games too! We also host semi-regular online games/mixers in our discord which are usually in houses in games like Valorant,Overwatch etc. These are open to everyone in the discord not just members and are a great place to meet new people and just hangout even if your arent playing.
The Society Discord server as mentioned is a hub for all our activities. We announce upcoming sessions & events, share updates from our e-sports teams, and run online events such as tournaments, game launches, etc. Membership is required to gain full access however you can join and have limited access as just a student at Winchester.

We also are the offical home of the Winchester Warriors E-Sports Teams!
This is Winchester's official e-sports teams, who mainly compete in NSE. In the past we have had teams for CS2, Siege, Rocket League, League of Legends, TFT and Overwatch. Each of our teams has an elected captain, and some of the teams have coaches. Winchester Warriors is open to gamers of all levels as we hope to build out a full roster for each game every year.
