This role is primarily the creation of video, audio and static image content to use on social media platforms (primarily Instagram, tiktok and facebook) supporting campaigns, events and promotion of Winchester Students' Union. Duties also include light administrative work such as email monitoring and response, data collection and marketing research and from time to time in person interaction with students supporting the overall communications team.

To be responsible for all Student Union technical equipment, ensuring it is in fully working order, safe and available to use when required. To manage technical requirements (and ensure the safe use of equipment) at productions, hires and events. To assist with training of staff on technical equipment. To upkeep all technical documentation (handbooks, cheat sheets, guides and venue spec & equipment lists).

The role involves providing welfare support to students during our key night time events (The majority of these being for BOP on Wednesday nights between 7pm and 2am). Working under the supervision of the venue manager, the welfare team provide face to face support and signposting for students who are upset, stressed and/or intoxicated.
