STUDENT OFFICER, Khushi Pancholi

Student Officers have no pre-defined portfolio, but together with the rest of the elected executive committee, will discuss and propose areas of work for the Union, ensuring that all students are represented. Alongside representing student views generally, Student Officer's chosen areas of work will be defined via their manifesto promises.

You can contact student officers to give voice to feedback about any area of your student experience, to ask questions about any area of the Union's work or to provide information that you feel will allow the Union to provide for student need.

What did/do you study?

I'm currently studying Physiotherapy.

What SU run events and activities have you been a part of?

I have taken part in basketball and rounders and occasionally go to BOP.

 

What are your top Manifesto points?

I aim to create a university experience that meets the needs and aspirations of all students by ensuring students' concerns and ideas are heard and addressed so that every student feels valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential.

What made you run in the Elections to become an officer?

I decided to run in the elections to become a Student Officer through the encouragement of some friends and because I want to represent the diverse voices and needs of our student body to make meaningful changes.

What's your favourite thing about Winchester?

My favourite thing about Winchester is the opportunity to meet some lovely people. The community at the university is welcoming and friendly and has a positive energy, allowing meaningful connections and friendships to be formed.

What has been your proudest moment during your student journey (so far)?

My proudest moment during my student journey so far has been getting the opportunity to be Vice-captain of the basketball team and receiving the Paton Award. 

What do you like doing when you aren't being a Winchester SU Officer?

I enjoy going on bike rides, paint-by-numbers, and movie nights with my friends.

What's your favourite film?

I don't have a favourite film, but I like Ratatouille, The Lion King and some Bollywood classics.
