What SU run events and activities have you been a part of?

During my time as a student, I was a member of the executive committee as a Student Officer, I spent 3 years as a Winchester Spirits Cheerleader and 2 years as a member of Ultimate Frisbee, becoming Social Sec in my final year. I was also a part of Freshers Crew 2021, as well as being a regular bop attendee!

What are your top Manifesto points?

  • Enhancing the support and student experience for those on placement
  • Lobbying for timetabling which suits the practical needs of students, especially for those who commute to campus and/or work part-time
  • Launching a campaign which promotes healthy digital habits
  • Improving the accessibility and quality of Winch SU’s Website!

What made you run in the Elections to become an officer?

I decided to re-run for VPEW as I really felt that I was able to make a positive impact on students as an officer in my first year, I have since fallen in love with the world of HE and hope to continue to support students even further this year!

What’s your favourite thing about Winchester?

I love the history and the natural beauty of Winchester - having also attended college in the city, this will now be my 7th year here!

What has been your proudest moment during your student journey?

In my third year of my degree, I took part in a production of John-Michael Tebelak and Stephen Schwartz's musical Godspell, whilst also managing to balance my time as a part-time officer, elections week and dissertation hand-in all at the same time!

What do you like doing when you aren’t being a Winchester SU Officer?

I'm an avid coffee drinker and will never refuse a trip to Costa for an iced latte! I also love going on walks around the city, particularly along the river Itchen and to St Giles Viewpoint.

What is your favourite film?

The Book Thief
